Nixie

Nixie is an app that was designed with kids in mind and focuses on preventing sight-related disorders by making sure that the little ones keep a safety distance between them and smartphones' screens.

Using Nixie is really easy: although the app has a safety distance set by default, you can establish the distance you prefer between your child and the screen (the app will always let you know if it's appropriate or not). If you come too close to the screen, an alarm will automatically go off which will remind you to back away in order to maintain a health eye-sight.

Among some of the adjustments you can customize you'll find the alarms as well as a pin so you can make sure the little ones don't play with the smartphone without your consent. This feature helps you relax knowing that your kids are not overdoing the time they spend looking at the screen and when they do so, they'll at least keep a safe distance.
